PITCH

Pitch

 Pitch

My 5 minutes short film will be called “the man in the black clothing”.

The logline will be, “2 friends, a sleepover and one strange message from unknown.”

The plotline of the film is, Kyle go around to his best friend, Chrissy’s, house for a sleepover. Suddenly, when they both fell asleep Kyle gets a random message that’ll say, “I know what you did” by an ‘unknown’. The next morning, Kyle checks his phone and he becomes scared at the message he received, he looks at Chrissy and the two friends start to wonder who ‘unknown’ will be. Then, the next day they investigate in the woods. They both suddenly encounter someone who wears black clothing and it starts to follow them everywhere they go. And everything from there begins to get creepier and weirder.

The main characters are called Kyle (who plays dangerous and he isn’t scared of anything apart from the unknown), and Chrissy (who is popular but also sassy and she is scared of almost everything).

The target audience will be aimed at 16-18-year olds that are female and male.

The genre of the short film will be a thriller.

The locations of the film will be set at home, in the woods and in small towns, and it’ll be set in the day time, late afternoons and early/late evenings.

In the opening scene, it will be set in the house during the late evening. With close ups of the characters facial expressions and it switches to what they are doing, and the sound will be quiet and soft. Then as soon as the message pops up and from that point on, the sound will become more intense as the film develops. With different ranges of camera shots and movements.

I've completed this task because I needed to think about my pitch and the next steps for my film. What I've done to create this is I went onto a word document because I needed to say information about my film and what it is about and what will happen. I think this will be a impact on the outcome because I know what I need to follow up on and what is missing.
